about RFSL Ungdom
RFSL Ungdom (Riksförbund för sexuellt likaberättigande) has about 600 members and twelve branches all over Sweden. Main aims are that everyone shall have the right to define him- or herself. And no-one shall be discriminated or benachteiligt because of their sexuals orientation, gender belonging or the gender expression.
RFSL Ungdom works for a better school education in LGBT questions, is national coordinator of the International Day Against Homophobia and runs the very successful project „Lär mig!“ that educates about heteronormativity in society. Another big work ist he HIV-education, for which the organisation visits all the big Swedish festivals and gives out information about safer sex.
RFSL Ungdom also works on international level. The project „Follow me to Europe!“ shall engage Swedish youth to realise international projects. Other projects like LGBT youth in Baltic Sea region or Imaging project – and make it happen specialize on the Baltic Sea region and support LGBT-organisations there. RFSL Ungdom is also host-organisation fort he European Voluntary Service.
